In the House
The House is back in full swing. We’ve been back in Wellington this week and today a new Speaker will be elected to chair Parliament. Here’s my contribution to the first debate of the year – on the Prime Minister’s statement.
National has under-invested in tertiary education. Dunedin apprenticeship numbers are down 26%, and Post-graduate students are dropping out of their studies. I’ve brought some facts to bear on John Key’s ‘increased apprenticeships’ announcement…
All of my Parliamentary speeches are online. Last year I seized the opportunity as a new MP to get plenty of practice, and was one of Labour’s most prolific speakers.
